Professional CDL Training Programs:
Class A CDL Training
This training program is designed for those who have no prior experience or training as a truck driver or has been out of the trucking industry for several years. The Class A CDL training program prepares students for truck driving careers in both over-the-road (OTR) and local driving jobs. The certificate of completion from our CDL program qualifies a graduate as an entry-level CDL driver. During truck driver training, students learn & develop the skills required to pass the state CDL skills test in Class A commercial vehicle.
Class B CDL Training
The Class B CDL training course is designed for individuals with no or limited experience driving a Class B commercial vehicle. Training provides students with the hands-on and classroom training necessary to qualify an individual to operate a School Bus, Motorcoach or Class B-rated automatic vehicle in the transportation industry.
CDL Refresher Course
The Refresher Program is designed for the Class “A” or Class “B” Driver with a minimum of 1 or more years of driving experience within the previous three to five years. The training consists of one-on-one instruction covering: Pre-Trip Inspection, Backing Maneuvers, and Road Instruction.
Custom CDL Programs
Georgia Driving Academy can customize a commercial driver training program to meet the needs of major corporations, agencies, and all of the military branches of service.
Hazardous Material Training
Georgia Driving Academy now offers a 6-hour training course for students who wish to obtain their “H” endorsement. The hazmat training meets all FMCSA EDLT Part 380 requirements and is now available at both GDA campuses. Students pursuing the “H” endorsement must complete the 6-hour course curriculum to be eligible to take the state-administered test. The hazmat training is only available to students who have completed all prior ELDT Mandate curriculums for their respective CDL classes.
